How much does it cost how can I pay?
Prices start at £120 to tint the rear of a small 3 door car. It generally varys depending on the vehicle type, and whether it is a safety & security window film. Our customers report they find our products and services to be excellent value and use us on a regular basis. You can pay with cash or any major credit cards.
How long does it take to have the film fitted?
It very much depends on the vehicle. For normal window tint or solar protection film, most vehicles can be completed in 1-2 hours. For Amorcoat safety & security film, it may take 2-3 hours.
Can I have my front windows dark?
The Law has been clarified from 1st January 2004. In essence the Law now states that the Visible Light Transmission must be at least 70% through the driver and front passenger windows – even after the application of Window Film. However, there are no restrictions to the darkness/colour of the window film that can be applied to windows behind the ‘B’ Pillar.
Does this replace the glass for my vehicle?
We can fit the product to the existing glass without removing any glass.
What happens if I have to get out of the car?
This is the most frequently asked question. When Amourcoat is fitted, it is on the inside surface of the glass. If you are in a crash and the glass breaks, AmourGard will hold the shards in place. You can simply push it out from the inside, with minimal effort required.
What shades are available?
We have clear right through to limousine dark. We have many colours and shades available.
Tell me more about side impact accidents?
60% of accidents tend to be side impact. In a side impact accident, glass can shatter, sending shards towards passengers like little projectiles. The risk of injury from unprotected glass is therefore very high, especially with the increased use of laminated glass.
Can it be fitted to the front windscreen?
In some instances, it is possible to fit anti-lacerative clear film to windscreens. We supply and install OPTICALLY CLEAR safety film and UV protection films for people who drive as part of there occupation and people suffering from photosensitivity. In the UK it is illegal to fit tinted film to the windscreen except a 6" visor strip.
