For instance, if a burglar does break and enter your property, the safety window film holds the broken glass together to keep from shattered glass to fly in all directions, causing further damage . Once this film is applied, should a person intentionally or unintentionally break a window, the shield holds the glass together in one piece to make your clean up process easier. In addition, it prevents any further injuries from broken glass pieces.

Armorcoat® Clear Safety Window Film

Armorcoat® are optically clear safety films that are non-reflective so are virtually invisible on your windows. You maintain the natural appearance of your windows day or night. 

The resilient layers of high-tensile polyester, aggressive adhesives, ultraviolet inhibitors and scratch-resistant coatings provide exceptional impact resistant capabilities – with thicker films offering greater protection.

3M S70 Clear External Safety Window Film

3M S70 Clear External Safety Window Film is designed for use on the exterior surface of windows. It is composed of a transparent and weather stable polyester film, scratch resistant surface and a strong acrylic adhesive. The films high tensile strength and elongation at break point increases resistance of the glazing system to impact and pressure. The film also significantly reduces the transmission of UVA and UVB rays which are the main cause of fading.

3M Safety Films provide effective protection from injuries to persons, or damage to items caused by fragments of broken glass. In the case of glass breakage the fragments are held together by the strong acrylic adhesive. A clear 7 mil safety film that is ideal for areas where interior application is not possible.

Vandal, Riot & Blast Mitigation Window Film

Unfortunately, we live in a world where vandalism, riots and bomb blasts are a real danger to our safety and security.

Vandalism, riots and bomb blasts turns unprotected glass into dangerous flying shards travelling at speeds in excess of 30 meters per second (> 100 km/h) – making them impossible to outrun and avoid serious injury. Understanding the type of glass in your building is key. It has a direct impact on your level of potential exposure to blast.

To provide the ultimate glass protection on your commercial grounds, we can also install attachment & anchorage systems with your safety window film. These systems involve fitting an industry standard sealant that can absorb any strong blows against the window. It not only keeps the glass from breaking everywhere causing potentially irreparable and costly damage, but it also provides glass resistance which keeps the entire window from shattering.

Dow Corning Sealant

Dow Corning® silicone sealant anchors the protective window film to the window frame. A triangular glazing joint provides a sealant bite of 1 – 1.25 cm on both the window film and the framing member. This joint design has performed well in a variety of tests of high-performance window film applications designed to withstand applied forces.

Silicones are specified for their high tensile and tear strength; long-term flexibility; resistance to harsh weather, temperature extremes and ultraviolet light; and excellent adhesion to glass and most window frame materials.

The Dow Corning Sealant has been an effective part of commercial building glass safety following aftermath of severe 1987 UK violent cyclone that occurred on the night of 15–16 October, with hurricane-force winds causing destruction in England. The Dow Corning sealant is available in both black, grey and white option.

3M™ Impact Protection Adhesive

3M™ Impact Protection Adhesive is a unique adhesive applied around the frame to bond the glass, window film and frame together. It significantly improves protection against severe weather damage, bomb blast or would-be intruders. Designed for use with 3M™ Ultra Safety and Security Window FIlms, it gives homeowners and commerical building owners more options when considering their desired level of protection. 

3M™ Impact Protection Adhesive can fully cure in less than seven days and is available in both black and white option.
